First General Assembly
Recently, the PROSECCO consortium came together for a dynamic and forward-looking General Assembly, packed with expert presentations, collaborative deep-dives, and a shared commitment to accelerate the development of Europe’s future HVDC grid infrastructure.
Day 1 – Consortium sessions & WP Meetings
The day opened with a full-consortium session on System Topology modeling in SysML, followed by in-depth presentations and discussions on:
- DC fault scenarios and protection strategies (WP2-3-4)
- AC faults and converter control (WP3)
- Congestion management on the DC side (WP5–WP6)
- Functional modelling (VARC and PFC) in an MBSE framework
These sessions allowed for targeted discussions on deliverables and testing progress.
Day 2 – General Assembly & Advisory Board
Day 2 brought together all partners and the Advisory Board for project-wide updates across all Work Packages. The day concluded with an open Q&A and discussion round.
Looking ahead
From protection strategies and control systems to modeling and congestion management, PROSECCO is laying the technical and collaborative groundwork for a resilient, sustainable, and interoperable HVDC grid; one that supports Europe’s energy transition at scale.
